People Watching and Flamenco on La Rambla

Walking the 5 or so blocks from San Antoni to La Rambla, I saw a hint that I was where I was supposed to be. (You see the RN in the speech bubble? It's calling my name!...)

At the edge of the beginning/end of La Rambla.
The walk along La Rambla is lined with characters who do a small performance when you put money in their pots. These people put a lot of effort into their costuming!
When I put my Euro in the can, the flutist played her flute very sensually. Louis and I both looked at each other with our eyebrows raised and giggled.

I don't know what this guy was supposed to be, but the granite finish was pretty cool.

When I see this, Matador by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs starts playing in my head. I like this shot.

Here is a very unsuccessful attempt at getting into character.

Louis said, "There's your baby." Ha.

Big churches. The ideas that were transported to make Mexico as I know it today.

I'm done. Ready to rest for a night of flamenco!

The show was at Teatro Poliorama

Here's an ILLEGAL shot that Louis managed to snag of the cast. The woman in the red dress at the left end and the guy in the black suit with red hanging out on the right side were the dancers. Flamenco is a super intense, sensual dance where the guy goes all out to impress his woman.

L-Dog is way to cool for all that peacocky nonsense. He thought the guy parts were over the top. However, we both agreed that flamenco spins were impressive and worth practicing.

This is the walk at night. Romantic, huh?

This is kind of how I felt.
